We as a family are born and bred in Wales. We lived in and around the Llandeilo area, moving to Newbridge on Wye when an opportunity arose to buy a village shop and post office. We are an award-winning Post Office having won Best Post Office and Shop in Wales 2017 (Countryside alliance awards) and featured on BBC One in 2020 highlighting our support to the community, offering deliveries for miles.

On our rare weekends away or days off we love nothing more than visiting Welsh places of interest such as staying at Saundersfoot, looking forward to fresh warm Mamgu’s welshcakes on the harbour. Or camping at Mwnt and enjoying a Welsh breakfast in Cardigan’s Crwst.

As an independent shop we love stocking Welsh produce and supporting local as much as we can. We feel that supplying locals is great but wondered how to reach a wider audience… so Bocs Lleol Cymru, local box Wales was born!

We offer a choice of specialty boxes for all occasions; branded boxes filled with the best Wales has to offer. Why not add a greeting card if sending to a loved one or for an occasion? We can add a personalised message inside of the card.

Alternatively, you can search and shop in the online store and choose from 100s of our specially sourced Welsh products.

When ordering from the online shop your order is sent in our secure unbranded boxes.

Your online orders will be posted the same day if ordered before 1pm. All orders with Chilled products will be sent with a reusable / recyclable ice pack and 24-hour delivery.

The extensive range of suppliers we work with, have been chosen by us for their beliefs and passion, quality of products and of course because they are all based in Wales contributing to our economy. Check out our suppliers’ information page.

We care about the environment, so all our boxes and interlinings are fully recycled and recyclable. Our inbound deliveries are on the same days as our shop- so no extra food miles are added by the running of the online store. As we run the Post Office we don’t even have to drive for posting, we can utilise what we have on site.

For locals, people passing through for work or on holiday, and want to take some Welsh produce home for friends and family; you can order online before 1pm and pick up the same day from our shop, (check opening times & location here).
